I Am ALS (IAA) is family!

And when family comes to town you gather. When my friends in the IAA community that live in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area heard our trip would lead us there, they jumped into action! They organized a get together at a restaurant. Thank you Juliet Taylor for arranging; I hate that you were sick and had to miss the party you arranged 😢, we missed you.
Meg and I were able to meet with our friends: Tim Abeska, Shelly and Steve Hoover, Emily Johnson. A special surprise for Meg, because I didn’t tell her, was reuniting with our friend Shelly Fox and her husband Theo, whom I served with at Andrews AFB.
Sadly, one member of my ALS family could not be present due to his passing. So in his honor we raised our drinks to him…”to you Jay Kenney, God speed and God bless”.
Staying true to our recent habit, on this trip…we closed the place down! Make that 6 joints so far, lol.
After sharing our recent adventures with our friends and getting to know each other, due to never meeting in person before; the exception being Shelly’s 1&2. Then this happened, Shelly Hoover started talking smack and threw down the gauntlet! Truth be told it was her computer that was talking smack, cus we all know Shelly wouldn’t do that 😉.
Over the roar of the conversation I heard…”race you for Pink Slip’s !”
Race #3, Rumble at Rip’s !
