Da Meg strikes again!
So far the record stood at Meg: 2 — Major City Center 0. You can now make that Meg -3 – MCC – 0! Still undefeated at navigating past the “don’t do it” sign. Yes, she drove Big Blue deep into the heart of Boston!
Boston is beautiful and buzzing I must say. However, it is by far the most RV parking unfriendly city we have visited so far, sadly. Did Meg get into some hair raising situations? Of course she did! You could say I experienced multiple cardiac stress test, thank you Honey. I think I will put hash marks on the RV for every time she does this.
Let me start with the drive into Boston. The highway was framed by canopies of technicolor and beautiful blue skies. Everywhere you turn a postcard perfect panorama. We had a plan to find parking and catch our trolley tour once down town. But alas Boston told us resoundingly …”Yu can’t paak da bus anywhere daan taawn”! To which Meg said “ hold ma beea!”
An hour and a half later with Mendy’s help and calls to the convention center parking management office, to ask if we could park in their empty lot. To which they emphatically refused, not because we couldn’t, but because, get this, no one was on site to collect payment! In the end Captain Intrepid (Meg) decided on the “ask for forgiveness” approach.
She proceeded to the street parking right in front of the convention center. In a proverbial FU to the city, she took two meters, paid and left a note on the RV saying; Disabled veteran vehicle (free parking for disabled), please call if any issues.” We then set off to get our hop-on hop-off trolley. Enjoyed the sites and colorful commentary from the guide.
On our way back to Big Blue we joked about it being towed or booted, at the least a citation. To our pleasant surprise, none of the above! Either they read the note, or Meg’s reputation is growing MCC to MCC, lol.

Stay tuned for mile 20, The Quest For Mike’s Pastry, for their famous cannoli’s.
